1- Personal development
If you want to work on your personal growth in your 20s first thing to consider is that you have to set goals that are actionable, measurable, and accountable.
Vision yourself in 5 years or even 10 years. It can be hard to imagine where you want to be when you don’t know what you want or what to set.
But, all you have to do is sit down and write everything you desire to achieve.
Could be anything from personal goals or career goals in your 20s.
Setting goals is essential for your personal growth.
And it’s the first step to invest in yourself.

Tools that can help
Having the right tools will make your path more manageable.
Guided mediation: It’s even better than a normal meditation, especially if you are not into it.
Journals: Having a good inspiring notebook or a journal will get you motivated to work on your goals. You will be more organized and you don’t have to be overwhelmed by what you have written and only focus on your goals.
Planners: Goals are most achieved when it’s planned and organized.
Being strategic will help you to achieve goals much more quickly.
2- Find the right resources
Finding the right resources will make investing in yourself more enjoyable.
This will take more time from your end, there are a lot of resources out there and it can be daunting to figure out which ones are the best.
Here are some of my favorite resources:
Virtual Mentors: Not everyone can afford to have a mentor and most people are not into the idea of getting one.
But, the internet is there for a reason, Informations are available everywhere and a lot of mentors are out there putting their experiences and knowledge for FREE, use them.
TED Talks: Listening to inspirational talks can put things into perspective and will teach you a lot. they are people who were once in your position and managed to get out and be what they are today.
3- Set time for yourself
One of the best ways to invest in yourself is to always set a time to just be alone.
But, there is a difference between sitting alone and letting all negative thoughts arise and to do something useful for you.
Me Time Activities
There is always something about visualizing that makes you feel good and it can help you get a clear vision of where you want to be in life from now.
Put your headphone on and enjoy.
There is something about meditation that makes you feel good about yourself, you will never know unless you try it.
Sometimes taking a walk in nature is all you need.
4- Know Your Strength
Learn when to say Yes and No to the right things, set boundaries for yourself.
Refusing doesn’t make you a bad person after all, because at the end of the day you will blame yourself.
Understanding your strength and weakness will make you a better person.
5- The Right Education
What if you realized that everything you want to accomplish or learn is always in a book? you wouldn’t stop reading, right?
Education comes in all shapes and sizes
You have to set time for the things that matter to you, you will be surprised by how much knowledge you gain from just reading (just like you are reading now).
Another way is to read summary books not the best way but they can help you get an idea of what the book is about and the main points of a certain book.
6- Learn a skill
One of the things you need to do in your 20s and to help you with personal growth it’s to learn a skill.
Never stop learning.
Always keep an eye for new skills to learn and to develop yourself.
It will help you figure out what you want to do with your life and reach your life to the fullest.

7- Step Up Your Health
Investing in yourself also means investing in your health.
We tend to get lazy and we don’t want to cook all the time or even think of what to cook.
But, you don’t have to cook anything fancy.
Save yourself time and use free tools.
8- Nourish Your Body
There are lots of ways to nourish your body but the best of them all is to just move your body.
It doesn’t have to be anything intensive it could be a quick running, walking, do yoga, or a quick HIIT.
And the best thing is you can even do it while staying at home.
There are lots of free fitness out there but those are the best ones.
9- Self Care
It’s not all about bubble bath (no bun intended)
Self-care is one of the best investments that you can do for yourself, it makes you relaxed and feel good about yourself.
One of the best personal growth tips you need to realize is that self care is a must in your 20s, there are many forms to self care and the best of them is emotional self care.
10- Sleep More
Your future depends on your dreams, so go to sleep.
I’m sure you already know sleep is essential.
Productivity and creative ideas start to happen while you sleep and keep flooding when you had a good sleep and well-rested.
Sound Sleep: Sometimes we need a little boost to make us sleep better.
Youtube Sleep Sounds: You now know YouTube is your best friend.
11- Expand Your Memories
You probably heard that it’s best to spend money on memories and not things.
This couldn’t be more further than the truth, if you want to spend your life to the fullest in your 20s, you have to create quality memories.
You have to go out there and expose yourself to whatever you can, you will never know where you will end up.
Create memories just for you, you will never regret spending money on something that made you happy.
Investing in yourself includes other humans as well.
Spend more time with your family who will be able to support you to encourage you throughout your journey but not everybody has their support from their parents or family.
You can build relationships with people who are around you and willing to push you.
Because friends are the family you choose.
Be selective and meet people who are open-minded like you and will be happy to push you further.
When we were younger we used to be creative and go out more often and sometimes we get the best ideas.
But now none of that seems to happen anymore.
Why is that?
Phones take that creativity away from us. Our brain is always filled with content and information from what we see on social media.
I’m sure you probably aware of that but maybe that’s your call.
Give yourself at least 2 hours without checking your phone.
14- Let Go
Let go of the things that no longer serving you, whether it’s an old friend, coworkers, or family issues.
Learn to let go of these things that don’t serve you well, will give you peace and give you time to reflect better on yourself instead of having a battle inside your head of why this keeps happening to you.
On a piece of paper make a list of all people that come to your mind and next to each name put an arrow, negative people arrow down positive people arrow up.
You also want to write the good and the bad about each one, then tear the paper apart or throw it and forget about it.
This will help you to pour out your thoughts on paper instead of leaving it in your head.
Good feeling at the end.
15- Be Kind
Being kind is without a doubt one of the things you must do in your 20s and any other time.
You become happier and feel less negative emotions about yourself.
It will definitely have a big impact on the people around you.
Things you can do
Volunteer to shop for one of your neighbors.
Cook a meal for your loved ones or family.
Help your family or siblings.
Offer to walk a pet for your neighbor.
